Guangdong province has recently outlined a new development plan for the service sector, vowing it will be given top priority as the provincial government expects it to play a significant role in further economic growth. China Life, the country's largest life insurer, will acquire stakes in unlisted companies, particularly commercial banks and infrastructure companies, a company executive said yesterday.
