Kelly Chen陳慧琳 or Vivian Chen Wai Man陳慧汶 is an actress and born Chinese pop singer to Hong Kong September 13, 1973. One also knows it under the names of Chen Huilin, Wai-Lam Chans, Kelly Chans and Wai Lun Chens.

In the beginning of the years 90, she makes studies of graphic art to the Parsons the New School heart Design of New York, before coming back in hers family to Hong Kong.

In 1994, during hers vacations of summer, Kelly Chen is marked by producers and shoot hers first advertising movies then for Shanghai Beer for the Bank of Hong Kong.

In 1995, hers finished studies and hers graphic art diploma in pocket, she attracts an agent’s attention and gets hers first important role in the movie Whatever Will Be, Will Be…. for which she will also sing the Original Strip. The same year, she takes hers first album in Cantonese, Dedicated Lover…., that takes back a real a success to Hong Kong.

In 1996, Kelly Chen takes its first album in Mandarin, I Don’t Think So….. Before success taken back in Asia, she produces a new opus in Cantonese, Wind, Flower, Snow (…).

In 1997, Kelly Chen gives its first concert, Starry Dream of Coils…..

Speaking Japanese, the singer will take different albums for the country of the sun raising, such Morning, that will be hers first success in Japan.

In 1998, she starts a world tour that will begin in Australia. In September, she takes hers first clip video for the song Coils Me However Not.

In 1999, she plays in a TV series Japanese Don’t be has Cry Baby with the Japanese star Kyoko Fukada and give 2 concerts to Fukuoka, what allows him to reinforce hers fame in Japan.

In 2005, thanks to hers Hope song for the TV series Korean Dae Jang Geum, Kelly Chen takes back 3 Awardses to the ceremony of the TVB 8 Awards Presentation:  "Better song", "Song in Cantonese most popular of the world" and "favorite Singer in continental China." Hope is also at the head of the charts of 20 stations of radio in China and break the record of tooting downloading for cell phone with more of 3 millions of downloadings in 1 month.

In 2005 and 2006, Kelly Chen gets involved in a new tour, Lost Paradise in, in Asia and to the United States. The spectacle of 3 hours is composed of 35 songs and cover hers 10 years of career.

Since 1998, of a big generosity, Kelly Chen participates regularly in works of beneficence for the city of Hong Kong, for the environment, for the Red Cross, for the Independent Commission against the corruption (ICAC), for the feminine association of the scouts, for the Department of the aide Sociale, for the Promotion of the training of English to work, for the Services of rehabilitation of the delinquents, for the Commission for the Respect of the personal data, for the Don of organs, for the Post office, for the charitable works of the restoring McDonald’ses, for the road Security, for the Promotion of reading, for the Promotion of the training of Japanese, for the Promotion of the innovation and the mind of enterprise by the young, etc. She was also by two times ambassadress of the UNICEF:  once for the health of the children of China and the other for the Committee of Hong Kong.
Kelly Chen finally threw hers own foundation "Kelly Chen Children Education Fund", that harvests money for the underprivileged children.

In 2002 a poll of the City University of Hong Kong revealed that she was the most popular star at the young.

In June 2003, hers statue has been inaugurated to the Museum of wax of Mrs. Tussauds to Hong Kong.

Thursday October 2, 2008 to the Intercontinental hotel of Hong Kong, Kelly Chen married its mate Alex Lau… officializing a history of love begun 16 years ago.
