The beauty contest of New Road of Silk or Xinsilu … 2008 ended December 7 in Sanya, on the island of Hainan in the south of China.
At the men, Xiao Wei that won the price and it is Li Chao raffle that has the first place at the women among 13 male models and 36 models of women aged 16 to 24 years.
This contest of beauty is organized two times per year, one for China, and the other to the international.
In October 2008, the Chinese 20 years of Read Xintong had taken back the contest in Peking in the international version of the New Road of Silk before the Russian Bayguzina Leyla and the Chinese Li Yiyi.
Considered as the contest of models of the highest level in China, the contest of the models of Xinsilu has been nicknamed the "cradle of the Chinese terrific models." It is the eighth time that the final took place in Sanya. The first edition of the contest was organized in November 1989 in Canton.
