The cars manufactured by China achieved progress in term of security and the cars and SAIC Chery A3 Roewer 550 got five stars in the crash tests, announced Wednesday it Centers of Research and automotive technology of China (CRTAC). The Mercedes-Benz C200 manufactured by the Beijing Benz-DaimlerChrysler Automotive Co. and the New Boras of Faw-Volkswagen also got a result of five stars during the crash tests.
The CRTAC tested 28 models of cars in 2008, raising the total number of models of Chinese cars tested to 65, covering 90% of the Chinese automotive constructors, indicated the person responsible of the CRTAC Wu Wei.
