Departure of a Chinese fleet for a mission to the large of Somalia
A Chinese fleet raised the anchor Friday to 13h50 (hour of Beijing) of the port of Sanya in the southern province of Hainan, for a mission of piracy against the escort to the large of Somalia.

The fleet counts about 800 crew members, of which 70 soldiers of the special strengths of the navy. She is also equipped with missiles, cannons and light weapons. His mission will be to protect the Chinese ships and their crew members, including those of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, but also the foreign ships that will make the demand of it.
The first phase of the mission will last three months. The Chinese Navy will send appropriate in time of other units to take their relief. It will depend on the situation there and of the Security council of the UNO.
The fleet will also provide the aid to the humanitarian operations of the international organizations, of which the World Food Program of the UNO.
The Chinese ministry of the National Defense had officially announced Tuesday the consignment of these ships toward the Gulf of Aden, underlining that China would observe the resolutions of the UN and the international right in the achievement of his obligations.
On his side, the spokesman of the Chinese ministry of the Business foreign Liu Jianchao indicated that since the beginning of this year, 1 265 ships Chinese merchants had borrowed the road of the gulf and that seven had been attacked.
