Wuhan adopts the concept of the Velib

From tomorrow, the city of Wuhan will experiment of the free renting bicycles, on the fashion of the Velib in Paris.
The government announced that it would put in service 6 points of renting in the area situated between the Jiefang park (Jiefang Gongyuan) and the Boulevard Yanjiang (Yanjiang Dadao).
Thanks to a system of renting very simplified, the users will only have to deposit only 200 yuan of guaranty to make validate their badge, and so to have access to the set of the renting network.
800 points of renting will be put in service of one year, to reach 3000 in 2010. The park will be then of 50 000 bicycles.
