The Chinese police stops 5 people having distributed pornography on Internet

The Chinese police stopped in February five people suspected to have propagated the pornographic and obscene material on the Internet, declared Thursday the governmental office of struggle against the on-line pornographic and obscene content.

The police of the provinces of the Zhejiang (is) and of the Guangdong (south) detected the movies, videos and pictures on pornographic Internet sites and on internal servers of the Internet cafes, indicate an announcement of the office.

A man named Zhu, of the original city of the Zhejiang Tongxiang of, would have distributed more than 40 movies on the problematic site of a cafe named "dark blue."

Two other people, and Yang Jia, would have offered 325 pornographic videos on the sites of their respective cafes in the city of Leqing of the Zhejiang.

The last two suspected come from the city of Meizhou in the Guangdong. They would have stocked more of 700 movies and 15 000 obscene pictures in the internal network of a cafe named "Yi Dian Hong."

According to the Criminal Law of China, the non-profit distribution of publications, videos and pornographic and obscene texts can drive to an active prison sentence until two years.

The Chinese authorities closed 1 911 Internet sites since the launching of an anti-pornography country begun January 5.
