Baidu Japan and Willcom (the Japanese operator of mobile network) have just announced the official launching of a new service of renting of PHS (Personal Handy-Phon System) for the tourist Chinese in Japan. First cooperation between Baidu and WILLCOM, the service has for goal to save the expenses of international itinérance and to serve the Chinese tourists better thanks to a hotline in their language.

Before going to Japan, the travelers Chinese must do their order on the jpmobile.baidu.com web site. once there, they can withdraw their WILLCOM PHS in the "mobile center"situés to the Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of the airport of Narita…., to the airport of Kansai……, or to the airport of Fukuoka….. Telecom Square, a specialist Japanese enterprise in Renting and sale of communication devices, also provides this service of renting.

Willcom and baidu decided to use the WX310K as model of cell phone. The tariff of use is of 525 Yens/jours (included taxes, approx. 4.4 euros/jour) and the tariff of communication is of 189 Yens/minutes (approx. 1.6 euros/jour), to note also that it is necessary to pay for a guaranty of 10000 Yens (approx. 83.5 euros) for every loan and that only the credit card is accepted.

In spite of the world financial crisis, 73 300 Chinese of continental China and 35 800 Chinese of Hong Kong visited Japan in November 2008, in relation to the previous month, it represents an increase of 5.3% and 5%.
