The World Bank grants to the China 710 million dollars for the reconstruction after the earthquake
The World Bank (WB) announced Friday the assignment in China of a loan of 710 millions of dollars for the reconstruction of the ravaged regions, May 12, 2008, by the earthquake of Wenchuan, of a magnitude of 8 on the Richter scale opened from .
The Sichuan and the Gansu provinces two victims of the earthquake, are going to receive 510 and 200 millions of dollars of the BM respectively by his "Project of reconstruction after the earthquake of Wenchuan.
According to the World Bank, financing is granted as a priority to the reconstruction of the infrastructure, as the roads, the bridges, the systems of provision in water and the management of the garbage, as well as for medical facilities in selected districts in the two provinces. In the Gansu, will also contribute funds to rebuild the establishments of teaching.
"The project aims to help numerous communities damaged by the earthquake to rebuild their lives in the restaurant of essential services," indicated the person responsible of the project, Mrs.. Mara Warwick, specialist in urban environment in the World Bank.
