Slowing of the automotive exports to the first semester in China
China recorded a slowing of its automotive exports to the first semester this year, due in part to the financial crisis in the United States, to the increase in prices of oil on the international market, to the increase of the production costs and to the appreciation of the Chinese currency, indicated Tuesday the general administration of the Customs.
The administration also assigns this slowing to the difficulties met to enter on some markets, as Russia and Venezuela.
Between January and June, China exported 361 000 vehicles motor-driven, on the increase of 58.5% in relation to the same period of last year. However, this growth rate was of 17.1 points of percentage of less in yearly slip.
The volume of exports rose to 4.62 billions of dollars, on the increase of 89%, the growth rate having known a decrease of 28.2 points of percentage.
On the total, 48 000 vehicles motor-driven have been sold to Russia, either a rise of 26.2%, in comparison with a growth rate of 300% there is one year.
However, the sales to the members of the ASEAN increased of 270% to reach 54 000 units, of which 46 000 in Vietnam, with an increase of 300%.
The automotive constructors of the country contributed 73.2% to the total exports, either 264 000 vehicles motor-driven, on the increase of 72.4%.
China imports vehicles more motor-driven to the first semester
The Chinese automotive imports increased quickly to the first semester 2008, the automotive giants of the world turning toward the Chinese market after the decline of the American economy and the flight of the prices of oil decreased the sales on the markets American and European, announced the general administration of the Customs Tuesday.
Between January and June, China imported 212 000 vehicles motor-driven, on the increase of 53.2% in yearly basis. The growth rate was more than of 18.3 points of percentage the level of last year.
The value of the imports rises to 7.74 billions of dollars, in increase of 71.3%.
The total includes 108 000 vehicles all land, on the increase of 78.9%.
About 92 000 vehicles with motors of at least 3 liters have been imported.
Japan, the European union, Republic of Korea and the United States was the four main sources of the automotive imports of China.
