The Shanghai World Financial Center, the highest tower raised in the continental part complicates and today the third higher skyscraper of the world after the Burj Duba? and the tower Taipei 101, has been inaugurated Thursday officially.

The tower of 492 meter high is situated on the sides of the Huangpu, in the zone of Liujiazui of the district of Pudong considered as the "Wall Street of China." The building, cover a surface of 381 600 square meters, possess 101 floors and three basements, specify its constructor, the Shanghai Construction Group.

The first two floors are occupied by trades and the three following floors shelter centers of conference. Some offices will be installed of the seventh to the 77th floor. The building should welcome 3 millions of visitors every year. The price of admission varies from 110 to 150 yuans.

The construction of this tower started in 1997 but works have been suspended during the financial crisis in Asia of the Southeast and they only took in 2003.
