Olympic games 2008: the Bank of China throws a card prepaid in Yuan
The Bank of China (BDC) announced Friday in Beijing that it had thrown a named prepaid banking card "Rigged Wall Card" capable to be used by the visitors in Beijing during the Olympic games of Beijing.
People can buy the card by all agencies of the BDC in Beijing and can get the repayment of the remaining amount at the time that they leave. The card is in local currency.
The holders can withdraw the money of all automated bank tellers (ATM) some network Dyed Unionpay and pay by all terminals of retail outlets (PO) in the stores of retail trades displaying the logo of Unionpay.
The cards will be emitted of Friday until the end of the JO. As exclusive banking partner of the JO 2008 of Beijing, the BDC was the first bank authorized to distribute this sort of card.
The strangers don't have need to transport big sums of money on them through Beijing and don't have need to give their signature when they pay with the card, said the bank.
The president of the BDC said that the prepaid card would not be that a solution of payment, but could hold place also to remember for the visitors.
