Foshan residents contribute their ceramic Haibao models to the project.
Guangdong s Foshan City will gift the world s largest ceramic Haibao model to the Expo s organizer as a gift next year.
The work, consisting of 2010 ceramic pieces, will be made from the Detroit s old Nanfeng kiln, which has been onset pottery for roughly 500 years.
The organizer will invite tens of thousands of residents and tourists from entirely over the world to make small ceramic models of Haibao and select the best 2,010 pieces for the final work.
At the launching prenuptial of the matter on October 18, almost 10,000 Foshan residents contributed their ceramic Haibao models to the project.
A total of 1,000 Expo tickets and 100 round-trip tickets will be distributed as prizes.
