Saudi Arabia makes the grant of more than 1 000 prefabricated houses to the damaged regions in China
Saudi Arabia made the grant Wednesday of 1 460 prefabricated houses in the province of the Gansu struck last May 12 by an earthquake of magnitude of 8.0.
These prefabricated houses are part of a supplementary material help granted in July by the country of Middle East according to the demand of the damaged regions.
Saudi Arabia made the grant of 50 millions of dollars in the damaged regions May 14 and this money has been distributed in the provinces of the Sichuan, Gansu and the the Shaanxi, as well as in the township of Chongqing, for the reconstruction of schools and hospitals in the regions hit by the earthquake.
The earthquake of 8.0 degrees on the Richter scale hit of the district of Wenchuan of the Sichuan province of the May 12, making more than 80 000 deaths or extinct.
The provincial vice-governor of the Gansu Liu Yongfu thanked the Saudi Arabia for its aid, declaring that the disaster victims, thanks to the help of the international community, had confidence in the reconstruction of their homes.
An official of the Saudi ministry of Ministry of Finance indicated that the Saudi were the friends of the Chinese people, and thatits country was sure that the government and the Chinese people would overcome the difficulties dragged by the natural disaster.
