Record sales for the giant automotive Chinese FAW in 2008
First Automotive Works (FAW), one of the biggest automotive constructors Chinese, declared Thursday that his sales and his incomes had reached record amounts in 2008.
FAW sold more 1.53 million of vehicles last year, on the increase of 6.75% in relation to the previous year.
His incomes of sales reached a record amount of 218.4 billions of yuans (about 32.12 billions of dollars), in growth of 8.8% in relation to the previous year.
On a national scale, the Chinese automotive constructors sold 9.38 millions of vehicles in 2008, recording a growth of 6.7% in relation to the previous year. However, the growth was the weakest since ten years, indicated the Chinese association of the automotive constructors, adding that the growth rate was of 21,84% in 2007.
The Chinese automotive constructors manufactured a total of 9.34 millions of vehicles in 2008, on the increase of 5.21% in relation to 2007.
