Peking is going to doublehits investments next year in the works of renovation of the former buildings of the downtown with a budget of between 1.5 trillion yuan (220.6 millions of dollars) and 2 billions of yuan.
About 20 000 families in the precincts of Dongcheng, Xicheng, Chongwen and Xuanwus, will benefit this project, that will concentrate on the old houses in dangerous condition, declared Wednesday the vice-mayor Chen Gang.
