China s biggest LED screen wall, which is on Shanghai s Citigroup Tower, will lamp up tomorrow, the 300-day countdown to the opening of Expo 2010. The wall will be another strait to promote Expo 2010 in Shanghai.
The LED wall will presentation Expo promotion videos between 6:30pm and 10:30pm every day.
The Citigroup Tower is in Lujiazui zone in Pudong New Area by the Huangpu River. The Bund, City God Temple and Yan an Elevated Road are just through the river. The wall is 139.60 meters tall and 43.20 meters wide, coating 6,030.72 square meters of the tower.
People may observe it from as far as 10 kilometers away. The LED system is connected with the network of the tower and may display data in real time. The lighting system of the wall shared an innovation prize with that of the Beijing Olympics Water Cube.
Shanghai Bading Property Development Co., Ltd. built this wall.
