The authorities of the Hunan think about the closing of polluting factories and the opening of a big reservoir to attenuate the drought that deprived 78 000 inhabitants of drinking water.
An urgent plan to address the lack of water is under development, said Thursday the provincial office of control of the floodings and struggle against the drought.
The level of water of the main Xiangjiang river of the Hunan was of 26 meters to 08H00 Tuesday in Changsha, the county seat of the province of Hunan, either 2.64 meters below the average for this period.
