The biggest sculpture of jade of the world
The sculpture of jade of superior quality of the Myanma Charm of the Chinese Buddha "is an invaluable piece.
This piece of jadeite measures 125 cm high, 145-cm wide and 60 cm thick and weigh 1 340 kg. It has been conceived and has been sculpted by many masters whom there dedicated five years. It is thus the biggest ever jadeite of sculpture discovered in China.
On the previous jadeite face of this, one finds a Sakyamuni sat, before that is put in a lotus button that becomes pale purple under light, a rare color for the jadeite; Sakyamuni close to its two disciples stand up and Avalokiteshvaras, Manjusri, Samantabhadra Ksitigarbha and are at its sides. These last personify compassion, wisdom, the virtue and the respectively; besides, one can discover the sixteen arhats under the tree of the advice.
This jadeite has been discovered in May 2001 in the city of Ruili, China to the Burmese border.
