Question by omithechickengoddess: HELP PLEASE!!! INFO NEEDED!!! Trying to take a dog from China to the USA?
I am a US citizen and I have been living in China for about 5 months. At the end of next month I will go home. I have adopted a little dog that I found stray, hungry, and cold…She’s an absolute sweetheart and I cannot bear having to give her away, or worse, let her go again. I am in a small town in Shaanxi province. I have read on the internet about how to get the papers from a licensed vet in a big city…Okay, doesn’t seem like a big deal, but the problem is everywhere I look it says I have to have the dog licensed first in order to take it to a vet and get the papers done. I’m more than willing to get it licensed, but everywhere I look it says I have to have a Z visa and show a copy of a lease for an apartment in the city I am in for proof of residency. I have neither. I have an F visa and the place I am staying now I am staying for free, and will not be living here as of next week- I will be traveling to Beijing and staying in a hotel while I get all of this sorted out. But before I can do that, I have to find out two things: Do I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO HAVE that pet license for china in order to get the international paperwork, and if so, do I HAVE to have the residency permit to get it? ANY help on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

I’ve seen that sight already and it does not answer my questions. Thanks for trying though. I need someone to please answer the questions I asked. I already know the procedure and I know I need the papers no matter what.

just get a plane to china have a holiday then get it and go bac, im a pure genious i know
