Shenzhou 7:  the Chinese center of launching of satellites open free to the tourists

The Center of launching of satellites of Jiuquan, since which the third inhabited space ship of the Shenzhou-7 country must take off, is free open to all Chinese and foreign tourists, declared Wednesday an official of the center.

All plain tourists can visit the center free if their demand is approved. However, they must take in charge the lodging and food, indicated Yu Bencheng, director attaches the center.

The center is all year open to the tourists safe when some important missions are set in motion, whereas the foreign tourists must get the approval of the departments of the government's foreign business to enter in the area, added Yu.

He denied the rumors on internet according to which the center had the tourists and the journalists covering the Shenzhou-7 mission paid, saying that the center had never marketed the site that attracts more and more tourists.

Situated in the province of the Gansu in the northwest of China, the basis of launching and his city host of Jiuquan became a popular destination for the amateurs of the space since the country threw its first inhabited space ship there in 2003.

The visits to the center have been suspended from the mid-August and the center will be reopened to the tourists after the launching of Shenzhou-7, revealed Yu.

"The center doesn't have enough energy to accept the tourists because of the intensity of the mission spatial Shenzhou-7", it has said. "On the other hand, it is necessary to reinforce the controls because the rocket and the space ship already entered in the basis of launching."

Established in 1958 and situated to 210 km of the downtown of Jiuquan, the center of launching is open to the public since 1986.
